Am I getting boring...???

Did I mention that I just love the West Coast?

Most people go to Lake Matheson to photograph the stunning reflections of Mount Cook in the lake - which, of course, I did too! - but I decided to use this one as my blip for today because it's just soooooo Kiwi. The bush, the boardwalk.......it's a real 'feel alive' walk through places like this. But the thing that no picture could ever capture is the beautiful, damp, earthy smell of being in the bush.

After I'd been to Lake Matheson I continued on to Gillespie's Beach, a rugged, remote West Coast beach littered with driftwood. Today I was fortunate enough to catch a small pod of dolphins feeding and playing in the waves. It was very special to be able to take my time and sit and watch them.....though the sandflies seemed to think I was there as their picnic!
