All terrain vehicle?

Visited some friends in Bolton-le-Sands today and enjoyed a wonderful picnic. Had a walk later along Morecambe Bay and noticed this car trapped in the sand.

The rather sheepish looking driver and passenger were covered in mud after spending 2 hours with another 4 wheel drive vehicle and a tractor trying to rescue the car.

After the tide began to creep in they gave up.

Why anyone would want to drive on this notorious bay is beyond me. Pillocks.
