Saturday, my love and I were handfasted.

Handfasting History

Earlier that day, we were legally married in the frenzied flurry of a courthouse wedding.

Then we came home to cook for our backyard handfasting, a ceremony where we become bounded in front of the Powers That Be and our friends(very few made it to the "legal" wedding.

It was utter chaos, but when all was said and done, and I stood before the priestess, facing my husband, about to marry him AGAIN that day(LMAO), all the stress of the day melted away, and I became a giddy mess.

Yes, I married my husband TWICE yesterday. Who else gets to say that they married the love of their life twice in the same day?!

This picture was taken AS we were being handfast....I thought the action of the priestess wrapping the cord around made it a wonderful picture.
