The band still plays

8:30pm. Saturday night.

Mrs theWeir is at work and I am home and about to settle down and watch TRON. I've never watched it before and figured it was about time.

I've had a Make Poverty History band on my wrist for over 6 years now. I don't want to be congratulated for that. But I still wear it. As a reminder that there's a billion people barely able to get food, shelter and clothing.

It's a far cry from the world I live in. Yet there's people within a few miles of our house who struggle to exist, let alone live.

The question is what am I doing about it. Prayer is a powerful thing. Money is too. But action. That's when love is a verb.
