Raasay

The past few days have been spent lying on Katherine's sofa watching all the Harry Potter films back to back. Then yesterday we went to see the last one in the cinema. So now our childhood is officially over... Then we went to meet Pisie and some others in the pub because it's her last night in Scotland before she goes away to Australia for uni :(

This morning I had to get up at 7.45 (the hardest thing I've had to do all summer) and walk to the train station, where I got the train to Inverness, then hung around there for almost 2 hours before getting the bus to the ferry at Sconser. Then got the ferry to Raasay.

It was something like a 9 hour trip overall (it would have taken 5 in the car) but I had lots of music and I could gaze out of the window at the majestic Scottish mountains and think deep and profound thoughts.

Then in the evening I went to the pub with this girl I met in Stockholm, who was also an au pair and lived on Raasay... small world.
