Hang on in there

This is Nick who I met today.
Last August - on a day that was less than perfect - he crashed his paraglider in remote farmland in Wales and broke his back.
He discovered that he'd left his mobile phone at home and after lying there for half an hour wondering what to do he dragged himself 200 yards to the road. His progress stopped by a fence and covered in cow sh1t, he stuck his arm out at passing motorists until one stopped (I can imagine the motorist saying, "I'll call an ambulance - you're not bringing all that shite into my car!")
Luckily he didn't do any major damage to his spinal cord and today was happily being dragged all over by his kite with no detrimental effects.
