Restaurant Week 2011 - Devi
Second stop on the RW11 tour and boy was it good. Quite possibly it was the BEST indian food that I ever have had. Just check out this menu!
Appetizer
- Grilled Scallops with roasted pepper chutney, bitter orange marmalade
- Lamb Stuffed Tandoori Chicken with tandoor grilled, pickling spices, tomato chutney
Entree
- Chicken Vindaloo with potatoes, onions, tomatoes, vinegar
- Karahi Paneer which is indian cheese with sweet peppers, onions, tomatoes, fenugreek leaves
- Side of Naan
Dessert
- Mango Lassi
- Mango Panna Cotta with mango coulis, caramelized pineapple, mango granita
- Pista Kulfi which is indian ice cream, candied pistachio, citrus soup
While my appetizer of Scallops was a bit of a let down (only 1 scallop and i wasn't a fan of the bitter orange marmalade) the Vindaloo was the best that I have ever tasted. It was perfectly spicy and the only complaint was that I wanted more!!
After a wonderful dinner, went to Gingerman and Me Bar for Courteney's going away party.
