Final Footy Tournament of the Season

Early start this morning for the last football tournament of D's U12 Squad. We always head to Broadstairs for our final tournament of the season, praying for good weather so that we can hit the beach afterwards.

We entered 2 teams, we walked away with both the winners and runner-up trophies, as we have done in most of the tournaments this season. As you can probably tell from this they are a very talented group of boys! The difference at this tournament was that the club who hosted it couldn't sing our boys praises any higher and even the refs were commenting on the standard of football. So nice to hear, usually we are kind of given hints that maybe we should let others have a chance.

What started off a chilly and very cloudy day soon turn into a glorious one and so some of us headed for Joss Bay for the rest of the afternoon. Well after travelling all that way, we might as well make a day of it! Then to finish off, we all dropped into the local Harvester for our dinner!

Overall a fantastic day, another trophy for the already overloaded shelves and I didn't have to cook! Photo is of M, who only really suffered today's football because he was desperate to get to the beach!
