Tailings Pond

This is the tail end of a ten Km log tailings pond from the High Land Copper mine near Ashcroft BC Canada. I was going to publish a panorama shot of the mine but the file is very large and my internet connection is sluggish.

The far end which looks like a beach is the end dam. the mountain falls off into the valley 2000 feet below. In the distance you can see the tips of the Coast Mountains.
