Peace (albeit temporary)

After a morning tidying the garden, doing jobs and going to the tip I had a bit of lunch and sat here on the deck chair for 5 minutes.

The sun was shining, the temperature was warm but pleasant and a light breeze blew. The smell of the lavender drifted through the summer air.

'Why don't I just spend my holidays here?', was my prevailing thought. Then the sound of next doors' circular saw interrupted followed by the banging of the dustmen and the slow realisation that if Son #1 and #2 were at home there would be additional contributions to the aural environment.

Somewhere else then, but it was magic for five minutes!

There's something very satisfying about going to the tip, especially now that everything has a specific place to be recycled in.
