Rogue Sunflower
This sunflower grew from some left over birdseed. Usually they don't turn out so nice, but this one seems to be quite a fighter. Some honeybees were already busy at the blossom and I've spotted a second bud. It was lucky too it found a place out of reach from my cats. Everytime a sunflower tries to grow on my balcony, Heathcliff starts to gnaw it's leaves and that's the end of the plant :-(
To my great surprise it was a bit warmer today without being really sunny. The sky was overcast and the sun felt like September. Yesterday it was so cold, I indulged myself in serving hot Ecclefechan Tarts with cream (from Walkers) for dessert. This is a once a year occasion. They're delicious, but today I took a longer walk than usual to get some extra exercise ;-)
Have a nice time!
