Jebel Mountain

I had several meetings today near the base of Jebel Mountain, an outcropping of rocks just beyond Juba Town, the hub of Juba. It can be seen from points all across the city.

Jebel Mountain was a key strategic location during the civil war between north and south Sudan. I learned today that it was littered with explosives and only recently de-mined. Note to self!
