Today I met someone I have seen live on stage a number of times. I was chatting with him at the counter in the gang hut and after a minute I asked what he did as I thought I recognised him, and when he said he plays the double bass, the penny suddenly dropped. He is the bass player for James Yorkston and I have seen them together on stage a good few times. So we had a good chat about all things Fence.

Sadly I had to go back to work and be subjected a period of infuriating non-sense.

After that, I came home and took the girls out on their bikes along the canal to Hailes Quarry park where we found a brilliant wee biking trail through the trees.
