Geocaching - The Novice

Through blipfoto and other places, I've heard mention of geocaching so thought I'd give it a go myself. As far as I understand it, it's a high-tech treasure hunt with caches hidden all over the world. Use a GPS, solve the cryptic clue, find the cache, sign the log book, swap an item (if you want) and hey ho, all done! The good thing is it gets you out and about in the country or in town with all the family and/or the pooch.

Just got my new toy today - a handheld GPS. As soon as I work out how to use it, I'll try and find my first geocache at the weekend (hopefully!).
