Filtered harvest

The barley crop harvest is in full swing. Coors beer and Budweiser are two breweries in the area. Barley chosen for beer has to be of a certain quality. Color is very important. If it has been too hot, the barley will be lighter in color and rejected. If the protein content is too high it will be rejected. If the moister is to low or high it will also be rejected. This years crop passes all of the criteria. Not so every year. If the barley fails in the requirements it is sold as regular feed barley or is used in soups and other products.
