Must Fly

I had to head into Nelson today. As I drove along the motorway I realised the tide was out so I ducked around to Monaco to see if there was anything happening on the estuary. There were half a dozen kingfishers out having lunch but the most I managed to get in one shot was these three.

This photo is dedicated to kiwilizzie as they are her favourite birds. She was too sick to leave her house today so didn't get the opportunity to see these guys flitting about catching their dinner.
