M. V. Tuhoe
What a weird few days it has been with the weather. It has gone from heavy snow and ice to a Norwester this morning and 10 degrees at 6am this morning.
Looking at this picture you would think it was spring not the middle of winter
We came through Kaiapoi on the way home from work tonight where I took this shot down the Kaiapoi river. The larger boat you can see on the river bank is the M.V. Tuhoe. It is an old schooner with an interesting history. It originally had engines from Glasgow and was sold to the American Navy during the war where it sailed to North Australia with supplies to help fight the Japanese.
