A sad loss

The neighbours had their tree cut down today.
A beautiful big, healthy, tree that towered over their 2 story house.
The only tree in their garden.
Killed to make room for a pool :(
The sawing and mulching took all day until after dark. A very noisy day soon to be followed by construction noise then years of pool filter noise to go with the air-conditioning noise.
I don't like noise, especially noise that reminds me of wasted energy.
