Funny Money

While sorting out my loose change to stick in the Yorkhill charity box I keep at work, I found one of these things. Despite the fact that they ceased to be legal tender in 1984, this one must have got to me as change, either from a pub last night or the lunchtime supermarket trip.

For any exonumists out there, it's actually a 1971 one, i.e. a first issue. So let's salute its ability to have remained out there in the big bad for 36 years - over half of them spent on the run from the law.
