Constable Country

Went out to Dedham with Caroline for a walk to Flatford Mill which I have never ever done before, we went the 'quiet' way and stopped for a picnic in a meadow (after being attacked first by thistles then an ant nest!)

the lovely isolated stroll brought us out to the scene of Constable's The Haywain the same time as this coach party! I'm standing with my back to Willy Lott's Cottage but just quite liked this shot, my next choice would have been the herd of cows we had to walk through on the way back to Dedham!
