B-boying

It was scorching hot in Edinburgh today. Took my usual lunchtime wander up the high street and came across a crew of breakdancers performing away.

The guy in this shot was really outstanding and i couldn't make my mind up whether to post this shot or this one.

Seeing these guys performing took me back to my "youf", Primary 7 age, carrying around a roll of lino and breakdancing wherever we could without being moved on. Ardler Community Center in Dundee was a haunt, as were the Ardler multis as the entrance area was flat and sheltered from the rain. The craze disappeared after about a year but hip hop lived on.
