Wild gooseberry in the hedgerow...

Yummmm...it might not be there much longer!
I was out in the lane trying to catch a bee picture (they were in and out of the purple vetch you can sort of see in the background), when I noticed the gooseberries were getting ripe looking. I don't know whether they are escapees from some garden long ago, but there are several small bushes around the edge of our little field, growing amongst the hawthorn and the ash trees.
