Today I am annoyed, disappointed, angry and lamenting the fact that one person's generosity is seen by others as an opportunity to take something for themselves which was intended to bring a small pleasure to everyone.
My blip was made possible today by a thief to put it bluntly - their act, although petty, made me so mad. Trust, moral standards, principles - I wonder whether some people have them.
We have had new washroom facilities installed at work for the staff. As a simple gesture last week, I bought a nice wooden bowl and some lovely pot pourri (nice stuff - smelt of vanilla, had lovely woven wicker balls and other 'arty' looking stuff - it was nice) along with some hand wash and hand cream, just to put in the wash rooms to make it 'nice' for the female staff. This made people happy, so it made me happy.
Today, through a series of events which I won't bore you with, it transpires that someone has
a. taken the bottle of 'refresher oil' which I provided to ensure that it remained lovely smelling
AND
b. taken at least half of the pot pourri out of the wooden bowl.
I know its not a HUGE theft, but its the principle - why would someone take what isn't theirs???
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
