Out of My Head
by Fastball
All in all, Spring Break was amazing. Beautiful place, awesome condo, great friends, many memories. I only wonder how much more fun it could've been had I not found out halfway through the week that my cat had been missing virtually the entire time I'd been gone. UGH. Talk about helpless... my baby's lost outside somewhere in the 35 degree weather, 6 states away, in a city I have almost no available friends to help search for her in. My grandpa left his sliding glass door open while he went outside and she darted out, but then he didn't tell anyone this until 2 days later when he called not me, but my mom... who lives in California. gahhhhhhh. I could've done without this black cloud looming over me the second half of the trip. :(
While I was still in Florida, my grandpa had put in a call to the police about Neko, told all of his neighbors, put up a couple fliers, looked for her until he left for California on Thursday, my brother and his girlfriend looked for her starting on Thursday when they returned from California, Anthony had looked since we first found out, Huey was helping too... yet no one had even SEEN her in 6 days. Not good. Then of course instead of taking about 13 hours to get home like it took to get to Florida, it super sucked and took 18. We got back to Athens just before 4am on Saturday night/Sunday morning... and promptly needed to pass out on our faces. Like, reeeeally. Of course that didn't happen b/c I had to drive the 2 1/2 hours to Dayton to look for my baby ASAP b/c classes started Monday morning.
This is a shot I took while waiting impatiently for all the Lost Cat fliers to print. We then had to seal each one of them in a freezer bag, b/c of course it was raining.
