Don't leave me behind

Today the Haltwhistle walkers did a 12 mile circular from town. We walked up the Burn, west along the vallum of Hadrian's Wall to Walltown Quarry, then turned east onto the Hadrian's Wall Trail.

After a while we launched out to the north of the Wall. On the Wall there were loads of visitors and walkers. As soon as we went north it was only our group. The views from north of the Wall are tremendous, but very few people venture there.

The weather was fabulous and the view were clear. Of all the photos from the day I like this one of my friend, H, who is leaping into action after lunch. The camera just caught him as he left the frame! I was really looking for publicity photos for the festival............
