Life in the Old Dog Yet

So this morning, I had plans to go swimming with my annoyingly attractive brother and my nephews, which at my size, in a public place is bad enough in a swimming costume. And then he tells me his friend is also coming with his son. Fantastic.

It actually wasn't so painful, but I was trying to suck my stomach in quite a lot. SIIGH.

I've got a bit more work done on my essay this afternoon in the sunshine which has been nice, though the garden is buzzing with things today. And I got a few pics of different butterflies but there have been TONNES of cabbage butterflies flitting in and out and they're irritating me because they don't hold still, everrrr, to get a snap of.

Anyway, so that's my day so far. Pizza night with the family later. Yummm.
