Vegetable of the month, 240th month

Somehow yesterday, we were eating outside, drinking a glass of wine with the neighbours. Today it was a question of avoiding the dreich excuse for weather.

My favourite vegetable for the last 20 years has been the aubergine. I wonder what a delight my life would have been had I been brought up in the south of Europe rather than the south of Scotland. I could have been eating thiese all my life.

Tomorrow we have visitors, but I won't have time to cook so I decided to do it this evening.
