Return of the Ladybird

Over the last few days the reappearance of Ladybirds in Great Barr has been very noticeable.

This shot was taken on the way to Sandwell Valley this afternoon. I came across the ladybird on the Purple Thistle by pure accident, but the result is quite brilliant considering I was trying to capture another ladybird in my front garden without any success yesterday.

The whole purpose of the journey was to take my son to the Sandwell By The Sea funfair. We had a lovely day, I took way too many photos of him, ahhh their only young once.
