Bye Bye Parsley Caterpillar

A week ago, I had three of these beautiful guys on my parsley plant. all getting fatter and bigger by the day. One by one, they've disappeared, off to turn themselves into butterflies I guess. This last one has been all by himself on the parsley for the last few days. He seemed to be restless this afternoon, moving from limb to limb of the plant, but not eating. An hour later, he was gone. I am hopeful that I'll have three beautiful black swallowtail butterflies in a few weeks.

In the meantime, I've got hummingbirds everywhere, so will be at no shortage of challenging photo ops.
