What's Keeping Godot Anyway?
The 4th tee at Gairloch, a 9 hole course ingeniously tucked into a tiny triangle of land.
This isn't without it's difficulties, with the danger of a stray ball strike ever-present. And particularly so here - it's a long par 3, with the green totally out of sight from the tee - so you have to wait for the bell to ring before you can play. (there's a bell on the way to the 5th tee).
This works very well...until you think you're the only one on the course; there had been 2 others but it looked like they'd gone home. But the risk was there.
So I waited...as the Midges feasted on me.
I'm still there.*
*Not actually true. But it should be.
