On the beach

We have been out and about today, as we headed off to Felixstowe for a day out, we got there about lunch time and headed off to the old part of Felixstowe past the golf course down to the Ferry cafe for a plate of freshly cooked fish and chips.
We had a quick look at the buckets containing crabs caught off the quay, someone had also managed to net a jelly fish, bacon seems to be the prefered method for catching them these days, obviously the crabs cant resist it.

We the headed back along the sea front of main Felixstowe where stopped off for a short walk, where i took this photo on the beach of the waves coming in, managed not to get my feet wet, also too this photo of beach huts.

We then took the kids swimming - not in the sea but the local swimming pool, the kids had great fun on the slide, i lost count how many times Monkey went up and came down followed by his sister.

I decided after a while of starting to look like a shrivled prune that it was time to get out, we then headed off to the arcades to the 2p slot machines, numerous small toys won keeping both the kids happy.

We decided not to end the day by going straight home, where we stopped off in Bury St Edmunds, booked a table in Frankie and Bennys, had a quick walk down to the park, where i got Tubs playing on the swing pulling this face. The sun has been hiding for most of the day and didnt come out until 6pm this evening, so my beach photo is a bit overcast.

Had a very enjoyable meal, were entertained by a table of 14 year old girls celebrating someones birthday, they did make quite a bit of mess with the cake.

We are now back home, the kids have gone to bed, giving me some peace and quite to blip.
