Wall Brown

Spotted this butterfly just a few yards along the same stretch of coastal path as the Gatekeeper that I blipped two days ago. It's a Wall Brown (Lasiommata megera), and it's another species that I've never noticed before. Blipping is obviously making me look harder. Very rewarding!

After much haze, the day turned out beautiful. All the family home for a long weekend so we all headed for the beach this afternoon. Had my third swim of the summer. Glorious! I feel so lucky to be living in this part of the world and appreciate the scenery every hour of each day.
