Laneway Perth CBD

This area was formerly a typical dirty dark laneway behind mainly, small food shops. It was been converted into a location alive with creative art - modern outdoor screens showing photos and visual art along with great grafitti. It actually works well as it is, with the rear of old shops adding drab colour, rusting iron all the while offsetting the freshness of the new art. While I was there a steady stream used this thoroughfare and most stopped in their tracks to admire the work. It was also the focus of many others taking pictures.

The Perth City Council rightly deserves a warm pat on the back for this brilliant initiative.
