Today was another outing for my friend who I recently took over to Port Townsend. She was hankering to get out again so we decided upon Kayak Pt. which is north of where she lives in Edmonds. It's on the sound across from Camano Island. It's a county park that we went to and we were there early enough to set up our chair in the shade between two lovely locust trees. We were looking right on the beach and the tide was out. The day began clouded but opened up brilliantly.

Another good friend met me at my place. I'd made us all a nice picnic and we stopped for my friend in Edmonds...loaded up her and her walker and even had my two dogs in the back. With skillful packing we were all off. We spend about four lovely hours along the beach before heading back . We wanted to beat the afternoon rush hour traffic. Altho I detected some physical exhaustion on my elderly friend I know just getting out did her a world of good mentally.

Here's a group of random kids we were watching just doing what come naturally in beach play. It's amazing how kids can self entertain for hours given the opportunity to run free on a beach!! Good for the soul!
