Sunburst

A morning cooking ratatouille and stuffed peppers for the freezer, followed by a trip to Neffiès, only a few kilometres away, but some different walls, balconies....and drainpipes. I've wanted to take a photo of one of these terracotta drainpipes for a while, and here was one in the sun. They are traditional in this area and in Catalunya but many have been broken and replaced with metal and then plastic pipes. Most of the ones in our village seem to be green, but this house had been renovated with a lot of pipes and gutters in this lovely sunny colour.

For the first time I felt confident using my manual lens too, even if it meant that in a narrow street I couldn't get the whole of this window in the frame!

Also for the first time (in well over two years of blipping) I've managed 365 consecutive blips since the sad interlude a year ago. A cause for a small celebration, I think.
