Horizontals and gull

Coire Fhionn Lochan on Arran is a wonderfully dark, quiet place among a circle of hills. Even on a sunny day, the water is overshadowed by its surroundings, and this gull seemed wonderfully white on the still water. In the foreground is the white of the little beach, one of three round the lochan, made of the granite of the rocks and rough underfoot.

I have seen an eagle here, but not on this day.
