Old Pear Tree

Uncanny appeal of Jiminy Cricket

I don't know what this insect shape is, but it was the storefront on the Twenty-Ninth Street Mall that symbolized a chance meeting with a cheerful young man. Crossing the street he asked, pointing to my camera, "What are you taking?" He asked if I had taken photos of the snow on the trees this morning. The lighting was exquisite. Yes, I had taken photos, but only with my eyes. Traffic had rushed me forward. In the middle of the street this young man gladly shared his photos taken on his phone. What energy and joy he expressed - a contagious enthusiasm, but then traffic appeared and we went our merry ways.
