Bicycle Route
This is the whole cycle route. The little buttons are places I "checked in" on the road.
Leaving Tel Aviv was a funny end to the trip. This line best describes the hour of interrogation I experienced in the Tel Aviv airport by the head of security when I walked into the airport with only a hand-bag full of dead sea mud and a bicycle helmet: "I'm sorry if some of these questions seemed peculiar; you have to admit it isn't often that someone spends 10 days in Israel without any clothes." Somehow, the pilgrimage wasn't the strange part of the story.
I think this will be the last post in this journal. Before I go, I'll end it with a verse Lauren sent me on one of the early days of the trip. Thank you all for your excitement, hospitality, thoughts, and prayers!
Go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
