New for Old
After last night's great evening courtesy of BlipFoto at the Jazz Festival it was a family day today.
Today we had a fabulous trip to the reopened National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. It has been closed for 3 years and has been sorely missed by the locals.
Yesterday it opened again after an incredible refurbishment and I believe tens of thousands of people visited on the first day.
This morning at 10am my wee girl was the first through the door. Incredibly excited. And we weren't disappointed.
It was odd that the original Victorian glass ceiling expanse now made the far newer modern extension feel old! How odd is that?
After the museum we had festival lunch at the University of Edinburgh Business School. Then it was off to George Square gardens for beers outside the Speigel Tent in the sunshine.
A fantastic day all round.
