Last Day Of Childhood
for my girl Asha. She turned 18 back in March but due to circumstances, it wasn't the best birthday she has had.
So, we've been making up from it since her return to good health and 2 weeks ago, treated her to gallery tickets at the Odeon cinema to see the last ever Harry Potter movie. We kept it a secret until an hour before leaving and the look on her face was so totally worth it. It was a bitter sweet experience for her. She's grown up with Harry Potter and with this being the last film, it really was the end of era and to her the end of childhood in a way.
And so, this afternoon we ended up at Black Sheep, a tattoo studio where she truly marked the end of both her childhood & Harry Potter by getting the last part of her birthday gift, a tattoo. For those that are not Harry Potter fans like Asha it's the Deathly Hallows symbol which plays a big part in the last few films. She's over the moon with it and it's a reminder of something that she loved growing up and still loves to this day.
