Secret Garden

What a lovely day for a wedding! There was a very important one here in Edinburgh this afternoon when Zara Phillips was married to Mike Tindall. All royalty was there, plus a few friends from the sporting world.

Not that we saw anything of it. No, unfortunately we were otherwise occupied some distance away at a notes practice for a Come And Sing, to be held on 13th August, in aid of Waverley Care. We'll be singing the Cantique De Jean Racine by Faure and the Requiem by John Rutter, which he will conduct himself for the first time in Edinburgh. It's not an easy piece to learn so there'll be plenty of note-bashing at home in the next two weeks.

The church where we practised has a garden where a (different) wedding party was in full flow, complete with bagpipes and at the rear, out of sight, is this little garden - my only photo of the day.
