Sandcastle Competition

We made it out today to see the little sandcastle competition in the next town over. Families and locals tend to enter, so they aren't usually done by professional teams (like in Harrison Hot Springs, where they have very elaborately engineered "castles"), but the ones at this competition are really quite creative sometimes.

My favourite was actually a very plump sea lion, but I also thought this dragon was really well done. From any angle, it was accurate in terms of proportion and appearance. They also had a clever, little treasure chest nearby for the dragon to guard.

I took lots of pictures, but it was difficult with the sand being very bright and lots of people milling about, but I am looking forward to seeing how the others turned out!
