Anachronistic

Sometimes (ok, often) I like to imagine what places would have looked like on that day the settlers arrived in Hobart. Sure, there's paintings of Tasmanian Aboriginies dancing around, there's paintings of early Hobart Town, but what was it like on that day? What was the atmosphere. Did the settlers know the havoc they were about to wreak on the locals? Did the Aboriginal tribes know the suffering they were about to endure? I imagine there was excitement on the ships, anticipation, fear even. What would be found there? Would they survive? And on the land perhaps confusion about these great beasts sailing up the river with their strange ghost-like occupants.
Almost the entirety of Tasmanian history hinges on that day, but I know next to nothing about it. I know what it brought, and I know what came before, but not what happened on that very day.
Edit: just looked at this week's challenge - Time. This seems to fit.
