Manly

Today we took the 20 minute ferry over to Manly. It's not an island however it is much quicker to take the ferry than it is to attempt to go the long way round by road.

A beautiful place with great beaches and walks.

It's very bizarre to leave mid summer in the northern hemisphere and arrive in mid winter in the south. However I'd go as far as saying winter in Sydney is nicer than summer in Vancouver. The air is a little cold first thing in the morning, but once it has had time to warm up it's very warm.

The only thing that gives away that it is winter is the light in the sky has the winter feel to it with the sun setting around 5pm.
