how long does this "moment" last?

As I've mentioned in previous entries, I've been seriously considering buying a Mac of some sort for the past several months. I figured it'd be just like upgrading my PC and getting Vista, only better! The only drawbacks being, of course, that I'd hafta get a liberal arts degree, start drinking at Starbucks, and start making some "Mac" friends. Yeah, those kinda people.

I took today's fortune cookie fortune as a sign that I should just trust "mah gut" and go with the MacBook Pro I've been eyeing. So I did! Right after lunch, I signed on Amazon and purchased the low-end 15" model (I figure if I need to, I'll do the RAM upgrade myself later, and for cheaper).

I'm so excited :). Hopefully, I'll get it tomorrow, what with paying the extra $30 for next-day delivery and all. It doesn't look like that'll happen, though, since at 5pm I got an email from Amazon saying that they ran into trouble charging my credit card. My CC company seems to give me grief everytime I make a large purchase out of nowhere... but it never complains when I buy plane tickets... hrmmmm... I hope that's not a sign telling me that I should've waited for the rumored LED-backlit models that may or may not be coming in a few months.
