Hard work for all and success for some

This weekend the UK Trials and Championships have been held at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.

B was there on Friday to support one of his young athletes who has made it to the Championships for the first. A nerve racking experience for newcomers to be surrounded by the familiar faces in the athletics world.

A personal best time and a good learning experience made for an excellent day for H.

A disappointment for L who has an injury and couldn?t compete.

The prospect of the Olympics next year increases the excitement. Shame we will be at home watching the TV, we didn?t get any tickets. At least the commentary will be first class and not having the hassle of travelling may be a consolation.....maybe..... but probably not on the day.
