Angel of the North

We went East today, to the Gateshead Flower Festival. It was very warm wandering round the tents looking at all the flowers. I got 3 baby orchids - just teeny little things to grow - I am an excited girl!! - Look forward to dozens of orchid shots!

On the way back, we stopped at the Angel of the North - I have been over to the North East of England dozens of times and never visited the Angel. She is prettier than I thought she would be; but I think she has aged very well; the rusty colour is very aesthetic.

I did HDR on this shot to make the angel have an aura - and to accentuate the rust on her.
