Starling

Had a lovely time with#1 Daughter and Son-in-Law this morning followed by lunch in our village pub. I took a few family shots but waited till after they went to think about a blip.

At this time of year the sun comes round to the front of the house in the early evening. It wasn't a very sunny today, but just bright enough to get me at the window waiting to see what came to the feeders.

Starlings aren't frequent visitors to our garden and, although they give the appearance of being greedy and cantankerous, they need help to build their numbers back up in the UK. Their status here is causing concern.
