Blasted
Today was a treat. The Hilltown multi-storey blocks were pruned. From umpteen floors to... well, to none. A pleasant morning was had wandering around the perimeter looking for a decent location to capture this anti-monumental event, but the exclusion zone had limited our possibilities.
We ended up at the bottom end of Alexander Street, and got a few images (which might appear on Flickr shortly) which were okay. I wish I could have also been on the Law and simultaneously on the Fife side of the Tay. These were my three choice locations. Newtonian physics prevented me from achieving that, and the desire to be up close and personal with the whole thing left me with what you see here.
I should say that as much as I relished this day and the events captured, I understand that some are sad to see these buildings toppled. I am sure they contained a magic or a beauty, even if I was not able to see it except in their demise.
