American lotus

We had a bit of a lie-in this morning and went to third service at church, instead of second. Today was another hot sunny day. Having broken the record back in February for the wettest February on record, barely short of the wettest month ever on record, we are now on track to beat another weather record. If the forecast is correct and we remain at 90F or above until Wednesday, we will set a new record of 18 consecutive days at 90 or above! After lunch, Roger and I drove up to Cowan lake, which has several scenic inlets, laden with American lotus beds. We rented a double kayak - the best way to see them up close.
